How much RAM do you have? 150Mb is a HUGE amount of memory for any one process. My Internet Explorer is currently using about 51,460Kb, not megabytes. When you get off the Internet, that will stop. As long as Internet Explorer is running, it is taking the largest part of memory to keep it active. I doubt very seriously if anything is wrong with IE6, and I sure wouldn't uninstall it. At the most, maybe you need to download some patches if you haven't done that.
