sorry 'Sheryl' but that is just plain stupidity. Iraq is not Babylon. That was a long time ago, get over it. so much for letting by gones be by gones and learning from the past.
Iraq <> Babylon. Thats just christian tricks to win you over and lend support for the war.

I am a Christian and I certainly do not rejoice at the idea of anyone burning in hell... quite honestly, if there was one doctrine I could remove from Christianity it will be the doctrine of hell... but I cannot remove it becuase Jesus Himself spoke about hell many times ... and just so you know, God does not rejoice in sending people to eternal destruction. He said, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel?' (Ezek. 33: 11).

Well to start with Hell has NOT been created yet. The Word of God says that Hell is (*going to be*) prepared for the devil and his angels. (along with the ones who reject Christ) If there was a Hell now, satan and his angels would be in it, and there would NOT BE ANY evil in this world. I know you will not understand, but check out the Word of God in Matthew and read it for yourself. Christ was giving prophecy. Read also Revelation. I do not, (well really I do) understand why some people have a hard time understanding Gods Word. Some will take a verse and run with it, and not go and pick up the subject it is talking about. There is so much spiritual ignorance and spiritual blindness in this world today, and most of it comes from the pulpit itself where satan does his greatest work. Satan will twist and turn the Scriptures to suit him, and have people blinded to the truth so they will do his bidding. Ever notice that a person who does not know the Word of God is left along by satan? Why should he fool with them as he has done his job and they are no threat to him? Please read Matthew and check out what Christ said about hell being created for the devil and his angels. I know this is a long way off your question, but it will help you find the answer to it anyhow.

No real practicing Christian is happy when anyone chooses evil over good. Nor does my form of Christianity believe that anyone is burning in Hell. Those that commit acts that harm others intentionally, that are evil and cause suffering will burn with guilt and remorse. They will be tortured by their failures and their lack of progression not by God. God is filled with sorrow for them and waits for them to truly repent so that he can shower His great mercy upon them and bring them into His loving arms.

I'm sorry he was not saved and is (probably) burning in hell right now.
However, I am happy that this is the beginning of a major last day prophesy being fulfilled in the bible. Babylon falling is a big one, and his execution was just the start.

I actually am not rejoicing in this as it is a misfortune for the rest of his family and even though most of his family was like him they really had no choice and I feel remorse for them and I feel sad that he was so angry and believed in such silly things.

I hope that Christians do not rejoice in anyone's death. I do not! I would have hoped that we could convert such a person but he was extremly evil in his ways. It seems that the court's decision might have been the best thing for their country. I think there are enough crazed people over there to take his place anyway. GOD will judge those who come to him at the judgment. There are a number of people that have had short lives here on earth. We know that our GOD is merciful but HE also expects us to be reading, studying, and following HIS New Testament.
To become a real Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.
