I am complaining not regarding to their payment schemes. I will pay before their due date and a platinum holder but then its just that they are not flexible in terms of their asssistance. In example, I encounter problems abt a car insurance return and cancellation of supplementary card holders and change of address is also a hassle. Maybe I do demand for customer service in the sense flexibility and comfort and effectively. I do reckon Citibank is better in terms of customer service and effective, user-friendly.

I personally do not recommend HSBC aka Orchard Bank. Their whole process is a nightmare. It took them more than 5 months to setup my account and another 3 before I had actual access to it. Horrible customer service with call centers in India and the Philippines. Just say no!

go with ETRADE.com or ING

You have to understand that credit card companies are a business like any other, however in this case their business comes from charging interest and fees. If they were flexible for everyone then they wouldn't make any money.

The only recommendation I can give is if you want to avoid additional charges then make your payments on time and pay off the bill each month in full.

P.S. Banks do tend to be more flexible to those customers who are more profitable to them.

Firstly let me point out that it is very difficult, to compete in a highly competitive market without being able to accept credit cards as payment from your customers. Most people who buy online use their credit cards to pay. To accept credit cards you need to be accredit merchant.
There is a big misconception that becoming a “merchant” is a lengthy and expensive process that takes months to complete. This is not the case

You will have to review your contract with the credit card company. Usually, on the back of the monthly statement, there is a procedure outlined for conflict resolution.
My favorite card calls for both parties to participate in mandatory arbitration. I think that is the best approach. I have never had to go to arbitration, however.
