I tend to forget things a lot and it's really annoying especially because I am still young and I kind of fear what's going to happen to me when I'm going to be old and gray if I keep forgetting now where I put my keys...also, I want to memorize more things, information...

Breathing exercises are the best medicine.Getting yourself better organized will help a lot too.Find a permanent spot to put your keys, briefcase, important papers, etc and always place those items back in the same designated spot.

There are courses with special techniques that can give you amazing memory skills (memorising entire packs of cards in seconds etc) but for most normal people the best advice is just to practice using your memory if you want to improve it. (its like a muscle in that exercising it makes it stronger). Set yourself tasks of remembering a small number of things and check yourself after an hour or two. Repeat and add to the number as you improve day to day. Though learning phone numbers, car licence plates or anything will do why not get a double win by say learning French words. If you only managed to get 5 to stick each day in 2 or 3 years you will have amassed a standard vocabulary and be well placed to become bilingual.

I don't know if this works but I have also asked the same question as you previously on Yahoo answers, and these were some of the suggestions I had recieved-
Ginseng pills or powder
Mind puzzling games and quizzes
Classical, and Jazzy music
Sleep, and being nutrionally aware
Having fun in the process of all of that.

There are different things you can do. It also depends what type of memory you want to improve on. Mind Tools offers various tools and a lot of information to this subject.
