I don't think its sluttish to have your navel pierced, but what I find highly disturbing is the fact that you give your email address out so easily along with your msn address.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU????
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but its not all cotton wool clouds in the real world.
Now, If you get any replies or anyone adding you to their msn, I strongly suggest you have the common sense to block them.

My husband does body piercings, in a tattoo shop, for a living. I would like to clarify a few things. First, a belly piercing can take anywhere from 9 to12 months to heal completely. You should NEVER use any kind of alcohol on a piercing. It is basically a puncture wound, and the alcohol/ peroxide/iodine whatever will "burn" the tissue. I don't mean as in pain burn, but actually do tissue damage. Also, you should use any type of antibiotic ointment sparingly. It causes a seal over the wound, and can keep it too moist to heal from the inside out. As for cleaning, a good anti-bacterial soap, such as Dial, should do the job. Clean it at least twice a day, making sure to turn the hoop as you wash it. It is recommended to leave the hoop in for about 6 weeks, and then consult with your piercer whether it looks okay to change. Most piercers will do your first change for free, or very minimal charge.

This isn't a question, it's an attempt to communicate and meet people over the Internet. A VERY dangerous thing for a 12 year old girl to do. Especially making the announcement that you just got your belly button pierced.
But, NEVER REMOVE A PIECE OF JEWELRY FROM A PIERCING TILL THE PIERCING IS COMPLETELY HEALED!!!!!!!! And a week after it's pierced is definitely not sufficient time to change the jewelry. It's just going to irritate the hole and then you will have to take it out, let it heal and have it re-pierced. I have never been pierced with a plastic bar. Your aunts piercing didn't get infected because of the initial jewelry, it got infected because of the soap she was using, or her pants were too tight, or numerous other reasons.

" After about a week take it out and swap it with a small gold 1"
Incorrect...the reason that you do NOT want to insert a SMALL gold one is that it can easily tear through the thin skin around the navel, much like a cheese slicer. Belly rings are thicker than typical earring posts for a reason.
When getting your belly button pierced, they can & usually do use stainless steel...you can pay extra to have gold upon initial piercing.
To avoid infection, follow directions given by the professionals. Clean with hydrogen peroxide only on first day. Use alcohol thereafter. Spin piercing 1-2 times a day to keep skin from attaching to ring and most importantly, wash hands before handling while your piercing is healing. I had my belly pierced over 15 years ago & used beer, as opposed to the stronger rubbing alcohol, to clean & never had an infection.
Finally, Yes it is painful, although a very short-lived pain.
On another note, it is unwise to state your email address here. Good Luck & since you're only 12, I hope that you listen to others as you expect them to listen to you. Take Care.

You should leave it in at least 2 months! What did they tell you at the shop, and make sure you clean it at least 3-5 times a day for the first 4 weeks and 2-3xs the next four. Both my daughter and I had it done, she was 14, and I was 37. It's sxy at any age, any size, as long as you are comfortable with your body. BE CAREFUL on the jewlery, mine was ripped out when I dropped a laundry basket and it caught the ring. I had to wait 6 months and it went fine, and since it was repierced under the scar tissue, less chance of a tear. Be sure it isn't too close to the skin, that was a big part of the reason mine ripped.
Your going to love it! And it doesn't hurt that bad, the next day it was sore, I think that was the worst part, no big deal.

I'm not sure if I understand... but here is some advice.
With all of my piercings I keep a hoop/ring in, until I know it has healed, for me it's easier to keep it clean and gives me the ability to move it around to get the A&D into the skin.

I think your question will one day be used show a scientific link between a lack of education and desire to make holes in your body.
Perhaps if you spent a bit more time on spelling and grammar (so you could express yourself clearly) and a bit less on justifying mutilating your body, then people would treat you with respect, and not just some silly kid.

This isn't a question. Not even close. However it has raised innumerable questions on my part. Too many to put on here. Perhaps you should review your basic grammar and get back to us when you have a question. And I don't think anyone cares about your navel piercing either.
