Pre heat the grill for the suggested 5 minutes, if the steaks are quality salt and pepper to taste only; Grill steaks for 5 minutes with the lid closed for medium rare (usually a 1 inch steak, any thicker and you might want to add a minute or two for medium rare).

Dylan has it! Don't overcook it. Let it heat up well, if yours has a timer go for the full five minutes. Don't open it a lot. The cookbook with it should list times for different thickness of steak. I like a little garlic butter or some balsamic vinegar with mine. I love my foreman grill. We cook everything from steaks and chicken to hot dogs and sandwiches on ours.
Happy New Year

Sorry I dont really have an answer, as we havent bought our Foreman grill yet. But I hope you get the right answers. I would be interested to know if a steak tastes better in the grill than the frypan.

Instead of the Forman grill replace it with a charcoal or propane grill to add flavor to the steaks.

just use a pastry brush to get some olive oil onto the steaks and grill it on the medim high setting done to your likeness. dont close the top lid tho... keep it open n grill it by turning it over
You can make a dipping sauce on the side with the following :
a large knob of garlic butter
2 chopped green chillies
salt
freshly ground black pepper
microwave til the butter melts and mix well
serve with the steaks and baked potatoes and a green salad

I cook them all the time the trick is to flip it occasionally because of the weight it cooks on the bottom faster and use a meat thermometer to cook to desired taste. Make sure you have a coffee can or something simular to pour grease in as it may overflow the grease catcher
