Hi, I'm in Oz also.
Budgies are Australian native birds and know what hot is all about. But you do need to keep him from cooking. Find the coolest, ventilated room in your house (usually the laundry or bathroom) make sure he has enough clean water to drink and to bathe in. Also small amounts of seed daily NOT large amount of seed weekly, as they only eat the top layer and I have seen budgies starve because they haven't dug deep enough in the seed dish. Good luck. You will get many years of enjoyment from this little bird. Happy New Year

I'd say that a fan would be useful. And get her a bird bath, or even a bowl, filled with water inside her cage, so that she can splash around, staying cool and having a lot of fun!
Plus, something you can do maybe in the morning before you leave, and after you get back, is to get a misting bottle with water in it, and just spray over the cage with it. It will cool her off, and even if she doesn't seem to like it at first, she'll learn to love it.

fake. a million. No because of the fact the sand and airborne dirt and dirt from the line gets in me eyes and it sounds like acid rain. 2. No because of the fact bugs circulate slowly up me *** and in my hair. And no because of the fact i will harm me eyes and its too bright. 3. No because of the fact over here we dont get warm summers, and as quickly as we can we are actually not arranged for it. 4. warm chocolate is. 5. All I do is take a seat with me blanket on and watch video clips that are 30 years previous because of the fact its raining outdoors and its 12 ranges.

Budgies are used to a very hot climate, but, they do like to cool down. In their wild habitat, they jump and bathe in puddles to cool down, and clean. Give your budgie a little tin of water, not deep, but not too shallow. He will be jumping in and cooling down in no time!
