WHATEVER YOU DO DONT SEND ANY MORE MONEY. THIS IS A SCAM THAT HAS BEEN CIRCULATING FOR A WHILE NOW AND HAS FOOLED MANY PEOPLE. IF YOU PAID FOR THE ITEM BY PAYPAL THEN FIRST LOG IN TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT AND THE TRANSACTION WILL BE THERE IF IT HAS TAKEN PLACE. IF THERE IS NO PAYMENT, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT JUST REPORT THE SELLER.
IF PAYMENT HAS TAKEN PLACE, THERE IS A STRONG CHANCE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR ITEM. INFORM EBAY THEN OPEN UP A CLAIM WITH PAYPAL WHO WILL SUSPEND THE SELLERS ACCOUNT , ASK YOU FOR FURTHER DETAILS THEN WILL PROCEED TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. DO IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
GOOD LUCK

Don't panic. Check your PayPal account to see if it looks as if you have completed payment. The subsequent request asking for Bank Transfer may just have been on of the sellers regulated emails. If you have already paid you will not need to use Bank Transfer. Check the listing on eBay. If you followed all the payment prompts which took you to PayPal then you are perfectly fine and legit. Good thing you have done too, keep copies of all correspondence. PayPal are pretty good at refunds if you don't get the actual item delivered. But I think you will be ok.

I would send her one more invoice and wait until tomorrow. Then I would file an unpaid item dispute. Then you have to wait 7 days to relist. I know it is a pain but that is how you get your listing fees etc back. Also now that sellers cannot leave negetive feedback you want to do it properly so she cannot leave feedback for you if she ends up not paying. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and not jump the gun when I am selling on ebay, because as a buyer also I have told a seller I would pay on a certain day and as I go to pay my computer freezes up, so I had to go to my sisters the next day and the seller was very understanding. We are all human and forget or mess up. If she ignores your invoice or you don't hear from her I would just give it a day and then file the claim if she doesn't pay.

Most sellers send out automated emails instructing buyers to pay, even when you've already paid by paypal. Its probably just one of those.

To make sure you get the guitar, I would just send the company another email saying 'I have paid by paypal for item number xxxxxx. Can I ignore the request to pay money to the bank on the isle of man?'.

Stick with paypal, they will of given you a email receipt for the item as being paid. Paypal will take the money out of your account. Follow up through ebay.

Better you opt only through Paypal. Othrwise you cancel the order. It may become a scam. I can give you a link that deals with Payapl & Ebay transactions through Paypal. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at

if this person receives paypal from a client that's all the transaction that needs to be done.....don't be sending anything or transfering anything. It is up to the seller to do that.

You really should report this to EBAY as well as paypal for investigations---forward all the emails to them. Paypal should refund your $$$$ This whole guitar thing stinks like a bad tune!

email Paypal direct (not where you received the email from) and ask them why you need to pay a second time when the paypal transaction went through.
Be careful with these emails as I had a similar incident and it was a scam
Paypal should write back advising that someone is looking into the case and they will inform you.

Log onto your Paypal account and check the "History" it will show the transactions..if you have paid it will say "completed" and you can copy this whole transaction detail and send it to the company you purchased from as proof.

go to your pal pal account and look in your account if no money has been transferred from your account then that's good
report this to eBay as it's a scam

what ever you do don't respond to and pay pal e-mail just go through eBay web to get there

the e-mails can be false as i found out when i first joined both eBay and pay pal thankfully no cash was taken but i had to tell all the sellers about the false bids over £50.000 of em in 4 hours of me being off eBay
