I am assuming that you know there is a difference between the Virgin Mary, who was the mother of Jesus (and died a Virgin, according to Catholic doctrine), and Mary Magdalene, who some folks think was married to Jesus.
This is actually two questions. First, the word translated 'brother' also means 'cousin.' The 'brothers' of Jesus are James, Joses, Simon and Levi. All of these people are identified as the sons of the other Mary and Clopas (also called Cleophas or Alpheus). This other Mary is usually assumed to be the sister of Joseph.
When Jesus is on the cross, he hands Mary over to John, the son of Zebedee. He would not have done this if Mary had other children.
According to tradition, Joseph was far beyond the age of marriage, and was only betrothed to Mary because she was a 12 year old orphan with no surviving family members.
Finally, if Joseph really believed that Mary was carrying the incarnate God in her womb, he would not have had normal sexual relations with her at all.
Finally, it is unbelievable that there were descendents of Christ because there is no record of it. The early Church recorded lists of every Church founded by the Apostles, the bishops of the Churches, the names and acts of the relatives of Jesus, the lives and deaths of the Apostles, etc. They recorded that Mary stayed with John and James in Jerusalem until James (brother of John) was beheaded by Herod. After that John and Mary went with the deacon Philip and his two daughters to Ephesus, where they remained. Philip died, followed by his two daughters, then Mary, and finally John, last of all. Nowhere do we see any reference to a descendent of Jesus.
The only evidence that Jesus may have been married to Mary Magdalene is a very late gnostic text, written centuries after the four Gospels in the Bible. All it says is that "Jesus... kissed Mary on... " The rest of the line is missing. Pretty scanty evidence, if you ask me.

You talk about Mary Magdalene being a virgin? There is nothing in scripture even relating to that. Its irrelevant. She may have been married. She may have been a widow. Who knows. The concept of Jesus and Mary having children is unbelievable because it is in none of the historical gospels, and the entire life of Christ was focused on God. Any relations with Mary would have been a self-indulgent purpose, and we know Christ was never about gratifying himself.
The entire concept that, after being stabbed in the heart, Jesus relaxed in the tomb for three days, got up on his own power, appeared in a locked room, appeared on the road to Damascus, then ascended to heaven, then came back down and went to France with Mary and have children.......................... well I'm sorry but that just has far too many holes and contradictory claims that I do not see how any logical person could accept it.

mary did not die a virgin.althoough when jesus was born she was a virgin afterward her and joseph had a normal relationship as husband and wife.we know this because the bible at matthew 13 v54to56 some of jesus brothers and sisters are mentioned.and the bible book of james was wrought by his half brother james.
but jesus did not take a wife and have children ,this was not why he came to earth he was to provide the people with evidence that god was soon to set up his kingdom in heaven and to provide a ransom sacrifie so mankind could enjoy everlasting life on a paradise earth.

Mary was Jesus' mother, not his wife. He had no offspring.
And Mary did have other sons and daughters...with Joseph as their natural father.
Joseph was NOT Jesus' father.
Almighty god was, through the miracle of virgin birth.
The teaching that Mary remained a virgin is false but is necessary to support the false Trinity teaching.

So many incorrect details in these answers!
Jesus was noit stabbed in the heart, the spear entered his side.
Mary did not give birth to GOD she gave birth to an infant that was named Jesus. God was who Jesus worshipped and preached about after he learned the art from SAUL If ya gonna quote get it right .
As for dying a Virgin, Bullshit, don't you know anything about the birth canal and the hymen? Once broken it can't be repaired
As for being a virgin bitrth that is crap too. Joseph took Mary to be his wife to save her face for her condition because unwed pregnancy was to bring shame to any family. Salute Joseph for his bravery in taking this responsibility to protect the name of Mary, but don't spout crap about virginity in pregnancy or birth. Get with the 21st century the world is round not flat!
