I'm designing a two storey house to sell and need to know if people prefer there bedrooms to be on the main bottom level or upstairs on the second level? What would you prefer?

my friends have bedroom on lower level and family room upstairs and when their are trying to sleep they can hear footsteps/noise from upstairs. keeping this in mind we recently extended our home and put master bedroom upstairs and family room below. Also used soundcheck plasterboard on ceiling of family room and extra thick carpet underlay in master bedroom. This has helped eliminated noise for people trying to sleep upstairs.

Personally, I prefer the master bedroom to be on the same level as the kids bedrooms are. Just feels safer. If it is onte of those 55+ communities though, definitely on the first floor.

I would rather have my master bedroom downstairs and the other 2 bedrooms upstairs. As a homebuyer that is one thing I am looking for.

There are people with children living in one room in some areas, and have been on the council waiting list for a very long time. There are also couples with two children living in one bed accommodation, some of it in very poor repair, and damp. So, if you get a two bed house, I would not only be very surprised, but a lot of people would probably be very resentful. Be thankful for what you have.
