This is a fact. Once there was a geode that was discovered. After the geode was cut open, there was something inside. What was inside of the geode was a pocket watch.

Knowing that geodes take thousands and thousands of years to form, how did the pocket watch get into the geode? Was it time travel? Was the human population at our same height once and decimated by something? What advanced technologies are buried waiting to be uncovered from the sands of time?

I read about it a couple years ago. Was rather interesting. I don't expect people to believe since I don't have the source. Why do people think something like this is impossible?

That sounds like a space filler article from the National Enquirer.
Just for reference geodes are formed from gas bubbles that were created as volcanic rocks cooled down and later filled with mineral deposits through water penetration. At no time have they ever been open until they are cut so nothing can possibly be put into one.

Given that a geode requires a great deal of temperature to form, how could a pocket watch survive in one.

You like many trying to prove something that you know nothing about, are making a fool of yourself

They can take a handful of sand, and spin it with a certain amount of heat it become glass..... Glass can be any thickness....

If there were indeed a watch inside a geode, I'm sure it was manufactured.....

a) Someone simply planted the watch
or
b) the person that said this happened is actually lying or
or
c) something is learnt about our dating techniques and geode formation. So as to make them more accurate so nowadays they would be even better

I choose (b) to be more likely untill proven otherwise.

I'm certian I don't buy this, at least without something more substantial than your word, no offense.

There is, however, some evidence that an advanced civilization existed on Earth at the time when we were just comming out of the caves.

Anyhow, my guess would have to be Time Travel.

Do you have any sources for your story? Otherwise it's just some little made up story that has no value.

But if it is true? Hail Eris Divine Lady of Chaos and Gummy Worms!
