This is what the other person said : "They are pretty nervous and quiet, sometimes they will look at you and try to make you laugh. Making you laugh is probably the number one thing shy guys try to do. They will back down too if a not shy guy comes and butts in. Usually he will intimidate them into backing off for a bit."

This is very true of my boyfriend and I. He used to be pretty shy around people he didn't know, but he has gotten a lot better after being with me for 2 years now. I would say that I am a loud girl, but more loud than him as he has always been shy around people he didn't know. When I worked with him for 3 months, not one word was said to me from him, other than jokes he would tell and make me laugh. If he ever come over it was always with other guys from work, would never come alone and only came one time. But then I moved home, and called him and we talked for hours over the phone. Really it was just amazing to me how things took place. Not a word said and now we will have been together for 2 years January 8th!

And I think they get along with the louder more outgoing girls because if there is a shy boy and a shy girl, then not much talking gets done and it's hard for them both to get each others signals, whether they like each other that way or are forming a friendship. I think it's not just louder girls either, it's just the more aggressive direct ones. Passive people don't usually pursue whereas aggressive people do.

they pretend not to like the girl in front of them but inside they do really like them. Loud gals tend to make shy guys more shy because they are better in conversation. Shy gals tend to have a parallel connection with shy guys because they have the same personality.

Ummm... coming from a very shy yet enigmatic, charismatic & very likeable person this is how it goes..................

Girls that I fancy I find very hard to make eye contact with, conversing is no problem & my voice at times releases one or two high pitch words. The minute I get the vibes that the person of the delectable sex is interested thats when the real problem begins. From being polite & pleasant I go into "oh boy" mode whereby words do'nt come easy. In my 38 years of living ( 17 of socialising ) I will not boast about my sexual partners but there is some 50 - 60 opportunities I have missed out on due to either my shyness or not grasping the moment.

For a person that is verbally gifted to a unbelievable degree, it is a wonderment how I find it impossible to come out with those.. oh so easy 10 words " Would you like to meet me for a drink sometime ?"

Strangely enough I have never had a problem conversing with either loud or shy girls - in fact I often bring the shyer ones out of their shell a bit. I personally think the reason that us shy chaps get on better with loud ladies is that our shyness is glossed over & most of the attention goes to them, with shy girls the fact is promoted like two peas in a pod.

Shy guys keep quiet, let you start conversations. They get on better with loud girls, because the loud girls talk a lot and that makes up for when they don't talk. They don't get on with shy girls, because both of them are shy. Plus there would probably be a lot of unawkward quiet times between them.

shy guys usually get on better with loud girls because then someone's always talking, even if it always is the girl. haha. but I know a lot of shy guys who are intimidated if a girl is too loud.

One of my best guy mates is not particularly shy in general, but around girls, he just falls to pieces. To answer your question about how they act around girls they like, well he acts like an idiot. He just doesn't know how to handle himself. lol

Sounds like me.. im shy and get on with loads of girls who are louder than the girl i like (who seems shy too).

anyway when im shy around the girl i like i tend to stutter for words and try my best to make conversation.

if a loud guy enters the room i usually go quiet and then the loud guy butts into the convo with the girl and they start talking. a shy guy wont get involved with the loud guys convo because he doesnt want to say something bad or feels the guy who is loud has more power to win girls. so yea he backs off.

a shy guy wont talk to you in groups but will alone, he will make time to be with you alone. he will look over at you and if you catch him he may look away quickly. if hes really shy he will smile and look at the ground if you catch him or act fidgety or like hes got ants in his pants lol.

he may also ask others about you like 'your' friends when your not there but might not ask you directly.

if hes talking about you he will go quiet if someone walks by that he knows, he simply doesnt want anyone to know hes talkin about you, he wants to keep his feelings secret.. big giveaway.. if he didnt like you he wouldnt mind multiple ppl knowing that hes talkin about you. so when hes talkin about you and someone walks into the room he may either go quiet or change the subject.

if your not around he will want to ask other people questions about you to get to know you. He doesnt want to make it obvious he likes you by asking things head on, he may feel he will mess it all up.

a shy guy most the time wont do the 'asking out' but if you make him feel comfortable and at ease he should do it eventually.

gd luck ;)

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.
