Ok so I updated to version 7 a few days ago and its just been a big mess. Blue screen errors, games not running, comp slowed down tremendously, and many other things. My dad gets so pissed when i brake my computer. So please just tell me how to uninstall version 7 and give me a link or anything to install version 6 again. O boy did i love ver. 6, easy to use menu, no problems with it. So please help.

Thanks,
Connor

Use the add/remove programs app. in the control panel. Somewhere in there should be something about mcafee. Unless you have the version 6 CD I cant give you a link for the full version, only the demo. Good Luck!!

I thought support had been dropped on v6 so that it can no longer receive updates. I assume you've already tried removing v7 from Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove programs. A manual tearout is time consuming and ugly, but sometimes has to be done when a virus has chopped into it.
I think this website took it from the Mcafee knowledge base.

Give AVG a look. I've found it to play nicely with Win98 and upward. Here's a link to the free version.

CA's antivirus also seems to work. Heard ZoneLab's antivirus program is quite effective, but haven't tried it.
