Mine did the same thing at about that age it is natural and happens to everyone. If it is excessive it might be you putting to much strain on your hair, dyeing it, straightening it, even pulling your hair tightly back too often can pull out and thing your hair. Without seeing you it's hard to say but likely it is just natural if it is coming out in clumps however I would recomend goign to a doctor soon to make sure it isn't a sign of anything more serious.
If your health is poor or you are very stressed it may also cause hair to temporarily fall out. I would say work on your overall mental state and reduce stress in that case.
If nothing else it would not hurt to take a vitamin e pill or something similar to help improve the health of you actual hair.
Just remember you are going through puberty right now and it can cause your body to do a lot of weird things including loosing hair. Again if you are really worried have a parent take you to a doctor just to be safe.

Ask your mom to take you to the doctor. It could be a lot of things one of which is a thyroid condition. Have you been tired lately? Gaining weight? Neck hurt?
Another thing it could be were you on the pill for some reason (period problems maybe)? Then getting off the pill will make your hair fall out temporarily from the changing hormones
Still another thing could be a lot of stress. That will make your hair shed.
And maybe it's just a natural shedding cycle. A hair stylist once told me that we go through shedding cycles every six years. So, that could be it too.
Don't worry. It will grow back. In about a month, you'll see all these little short hairs sticking out.

well u might be loosing your hair because you are not having enough fruits, vegetables ,water and u dont hav enough protein or its because of stress and pressure in your life.
firstly you can hav egg and banana it is rich in protein.and also not to forget alot of fruits is very important.
secondly u can use almond oil before you take a bath or a shower for just a few hours, you can use oil when you are at home not when going out!
thirdly try to calm down and relax do somthing which makes you feel relaxed, got out to saloon do ur hair, shopping, spa, enjoy the weather these are important for u!
don worry if u follow those ways of thicking ur hair u will hav ur thick hair back!

A low thyroid could be the cause. I'm on Synthroid ... but, my body doesn't seem to be absorbing the medication. The specialist explained that my hair loss is due to low thyroglobulin. If your nails are becoming brittle and you've gained unexplained weight ... chances are, it's your thyroid. If so, see your doctor immediately.
BTW: It could be numerous things ... one being simple stress, but it's wise to have the thyroid checked first.

Have you been dieting? When I would go on those crazy starvation diets in my younger years my hair would fall out ike crazy.
Also hormonal changes will cause hair loss.
You need to tell mom it is time for a doctor's visit.
(By the way, once they find the cause, it will most likely all grow back)

Okay, first you gotta calm down! lol! the same thing is happening to me! First think, do you straighten, perm, or curl your hair? If you do, then the heat is causing you hair to burn, and it is falling out. If you color your hair or use any chemicals in your hair, it's taking out vitamins and oils that you need in your hair out! So, if you are doing any of these thing, lay of of them for a while and let your hair relax!!!

Have your Thyroid checked. If you can, see a endocrinologist. There may be other hormone related problems.
