June.
Drink beer not lager they don't like the smell when its excreted through the skin.
Or take vitamin B6 or Brewers Yeast tabs they don't like the smell of those either.
Was told this by an elderly pharmacist years ago always works.
Take a tablet approx 1hr before going out

They are Midges not mozzies, in August you'll be toast when the sun goes down (if it ever shines). Don't let it put you off though, it's a lovely part of the world.

June/July no mozzies there, plenty in S-Africa though. Only hundreds and thousands of Midges. They are just as irritating and up your nostrils , i found smoking a cigarette chased them away, but it is all worth it, Lovely , lovely place that.
