Depends on your definition of intoxicate, scientifically any level of alcohol is intoxicated but not to the point where the nervous system is effected enough to be deemed unfit for everyday use (the legal limit).

Like, acceptable bar/party level drunk? And drinking within say 90 min. Takes me about 12 shots of 40% so maybe 11 of 43%. I'm only about 155lbs but have a tolerance so I'd say about the same amount, approx 11.

All depends on the variables though.

It would probably take between 3 and 4 drinks to intoxicate a 180 lb male (by intoxicate, I mean a 0.08 bac, which is considered the legal limit in most states). Keep in mind that other factors can affect how the person "feels" even though they may be over the limit.

One drink will put your BLA (blood alcohol level) at .0774
2 drinks (in 1 hour) would be .154

What is the legal limit in your state?
