there's this girl....she's 13 now, and i just turned 16. she can't date or anything utill she's 16. by then i'll be 18. is that wrong?
i've noticed in adults, though, that age differences dont matter as much as in teens. and my parents are two years apart, too.

I have a 13yr old daughter. If I decide that she can date once she turns 16 and an 18yr old wants to date her, he had better be a straight A student with at least half of the colleges in America sending him full scholarships and no interest in sex till he has his doctorate. That or faster than a bullet.
As far as adults go, your right, the age difference does not matter as much because they are adults and as such they have to take care of their mistakes and are responsible for them.
Also remember that if your 18+ and are having sex with someone under 18 it is statatory rape in most states.

The age difference isn't weird. Two years difference in age is insignificant. The problem isn't your relative age, it's your actual age. The fact is that she is a minor and she will still be a minor when you are considered an adult. That means that if you date her when she is 16 and your are 18, you could possibly get arrested for statutory rape.
The only way out of this problem is either wait until she is also 18 or let her parents get to know you and trust you. The problem here, of course, is that you must BE trustworthy because if you have sex with her while she is still a minor you could bet her parents won't be happy...and you could still get arrested for statutory rape.

Ask yourself that question in three years! There is a big difference when your in your teens than when your an adult..when your in your teens your still developing your opinions and thoughts,, they change less when your an adult,, if she is truly the one for you,, then until she is 18.. she will be worth the wait!

You sound like you are willing to wait, and I think her parents can respect that. Go ahead and wait, but do not become sexually intimate with her even when she does turn 16.

It's not weird, just watch out because it is illegal and she could charge you with some serious stuff!
