Try an Argentine Malbec. Here is a link to one of my favorites.

Alot of people are saying: red wine with red meat and white wine with white meat. This has often been regarded as the way you should do things. While this tradition is a sound way of selecting a wine for a dinner meal, its still down to your tastes.

If you dont like red wine then dont drink red wine regardless if your having beef or lamb etc. There is nothing saying you cant have a good chilled rose wine or a dry white wine. Admittedly some wines will work better than others e.g. a Riesling wine is going to taste better with a meat like pork than with beef because of the very sweet nature of the wine.

People have already recommended some good varieties of wine that would definitely compliment beef but remember that nothing is set in stone, feel daring to experiment.

Just about any full bodied wine, traditionally a red bordeaux (Cabernet Sauvignon if a non-French wine) or red Burgundy (Pinot Noir if a non-French wine) is best.

Any that taste good. However I believe the tradition is a red wine.

I like a merlot. It's dark red, rich, has a somewhat dry taste, and it accentuates the taste of beef. Plus, you get a nice, warm buzz.
