The best answer I can think of is to let Nature take it's course. You can try making sure you are eating a healthy balanced diet, and making sure you are getting enough calcium and other nutrients. If you have a family doctor, talk to him/her about what amount of vitamins would be healthy. You can overdose on vitamins, though the effect is usually a lot less dramatic than the effect the word overdose brings to mind. Also, what I have heard is the average age for a female to reach her full height is between 16 and 18, and for a male, 18 to 21. Height is also determined largely by genetics, so that for the most part, you have no control over what height you end up, as long as you are getting enough calcium and nutrients. Whatever height you end up, just accept it and try to be happy with yourself. When I was a teen I used to wish with all my might that I would grow to be 5 foot 8, but I stopped growing at 5 feet even at age 17. I don't even notice my height now, or lack thereof, and I always feel like I am just the right height for me.

I'm amazed at how many bogey answers you're getting.
The most important thing to do is eat protein. Protein is used in the growth and repair of new or damaged cells. That means meat, fish, nuts, soy, eggs etc. Lots of protein = lots of tools for building height and muscle.
Second most important thing to do is get plenty of sleep. You grow most during your third or fourth phase of deep sleep, so you need a FULL night's sleep- eight hours uninterrupted. Basically during the 6-7 hour mark, your cells grow the most. It's important you sleep well!
I would also recommend avoiding vertical weight-lifting. Bench press by all means, do pushes ups, exercise however you like, just don't stunt your growth by crushing your spine.
Keep in mind that even if you do all this, it might be in your genetics to be short, and there's nothing you can do to change your genes unfortunately. As a worst case scenario, try wearing heels (if you're a girl).

This probably won't help...
You r always taller int he morning then in the evening because after a whole day gravity has been pushing down on you, and therefore cause you to be shorter. Measure yourself at both times, you'll see it's true.
Wish I could help you but I am in the same position as you, if you find out let me know!

I've heard that exercising stimulates a tiny section of the brain (pituitary gland?) to secrete growth hormones to make you stronger and taller (taller depending on the type of exercise, mostly it's jumping). I love jumping and skipping and I'm currently the tallest girl in my school. Plus, since growth hormones are secreted only during sleep, sleep more and stretch in the morning!

Fish Oil might help. I read about it having an effect on height in the book "Omega Rx Zone" by Dr. Barry Sears. You have to have Ultra Refined Fish Oil.
