I suffer from insomnia. Most of the times, I can not sleep even after taking prescribed medicine. Thoughts of suicide constantly runs through my mind. I would say at least 10 times a day. I have had these thoughts since last six months. I do not want or desire to be dead but I find it very difficult. Though I am continuously in observation of psychologist, I feel confused, nervous and lost. Can you give me any idea except visiting a doctor which I already did.

Obviously if you are still suffering you didn't see the right Dr and only seeing someone different, who knows about mental illness and medication such as a psychiatrist not a psychologist their fields are very different. I am like you, constantly thinking and planning its part of my mental illness but I am on the right meds now and life is much easier. I know it is frustrating and scary but you cant deal with it alone....good luck!

If you don't already have lots of exercise as part of your daily routine you might want to try it. Even 20 minutes of fairly vigorous exercise per day (vigorous enough to get your heart rate quite elevated) can stimulate your body to release endorphins into your bloodstream, and in many people this produce a natural euphoria that can last many hours or even days. Start small and work your way up. For eg, you could start running and set yourself a goal of being able to run 5 km without stopping, and give yourself a few months to get there. This type of program has made a huge difference in the lives of many people. Be careful with "natural" herbal remedies and the like; some of these can be as dangerous as phamaceutical drugs. Your situation definitely merits seeing a doctor. A good family doctor may also be able to suggest some non-drug solutions, and you could communicate to your doctor your desire to go this route. See what the doctor recommends. Nothing says you have to take drugs a doctor prescribes for you. But for some people, medication is the only thing that works, and whatever the risk of side effects, in severe cases it may be better than the alternative - depression. For sleep, reading quietly in bed works for me. Good luck!

Find something, anything even if it is just that you hate it a bit less than everything else and cling to it. Write all that you feel down and read it back and try and try to find the positives that balance out the negatives. Music, exercise, Maybe readjust your life. If you can't sleep at night just fill it up with activities and don't expect to sleep. Adapt. Bake cakes, read books. Take the time as a blessing not a burdan. I can't say if any of this works. I just know that no Psychologist or drug is going to make anything change. You've got to find some way of getting back in control of your life and finding something to love about it that makes it worth living.

Are you taking antidepressants or sleep medications? Many people with major depression do not respond to the first drug they try. Often they have to try a few different meds before they find the one that works for them. Don't give up hope. Depression is a very treatable illness. I've had several depressive episodes over 25 years. There are different types of depression and many different treatments. You may have to experiment to find the one that works best for you.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

See this site for natural help for depression. That info may also help insomnia but there is a link to another page with help with that. This has advice on natural help from a psychiatrist telling WHAT YOUR DOCTOR MAY NOT TELL YOU ABOUT DEPRESSION.

Focus on your breathing when you want to fall asleep. Close your eyes and make sure you are comfortable. Focus on your breath coming from your stomach and not your chest. Only think about your breathing. Think of nothing else. Breath in through your nose for a five count. While breathing in, make a snoring sound in the back of your throat. Hold your breath in for a 2 count, and then let your breath out of your mouth for a seven or eight count. When letting the breath out, have your lips and cheeks be very relaxed. If you do this, and focus only on your breath, you should fall asleep in no time.

You need a vacation to do things just for you that you think are fun, even if it means messing with people.. heheheh. Become evil, it will make life much more exciting and you will forget about suicide all together. Stick it to the bastards in this world. Why should they be happy and you not?
