best treatment is a salve.[forgot the name] it comes in a metal can a little bigger than a can of chew.

An adult gets diaper rash the same way a baby gets it, from sitting in their own urine or feces. The treatment would be the same as well- better hygeine practice, changing wet or dirty underclothing frequently, air, sunlight, and any of the diaper rash remedies sold in the baby care section.

Diaper rash is a dermatitis, frequently caused by a mild yeast infection. It may be treated with mild washing, followed by application of Gold Bond powder or AD ointment.
