Well i would walk in and be able to smell fresh pastries cooking and the sound of coffee machines going.
there would be couches and private niches scattered around.
wood floors would be nice and the walls would be in warm tones.
Staff would be in black uniforms not tshirts, no midriffs showing the only muffin tops i want to see is in the cake display!!
a very good variety of cakes and pastry's even a gelati display would be nice. If you are a bakery and go into special occasion cakes having wedding cakes on display look good.
Have proper cups not take away cups when you are drinking in.
Give little biscuits on the side of coffee cups when you drink in the cafe this always looks good and customers get a taste of your biscuits and if they like it they will then go and buy them.
Have light meals as well like salads, rolls etc.

something like a Dunkin' Donuts. Staryucks sucks - the staff is rude and coffee is burned. Blech.

cozy..with nice people serving you..not overly expensive..and where you can actually choose something you want and know what you're getting..
