recently i've had my first real bad hang over, i drank way too much. it's been a few days, and now whenever i try to drink any alcohol i basically gag and can't even swallow a shot. is this normal? and what can i do to reverse this?

Yep it's normal. It's a throw back from our evolution when we swinging from the trees. It's called "food aversion" although it's not food that is causing it for you, but your body doesn't know it. Back in the tree swinging days if you ate a berry or something that made very sick you learned real quick to avoid it the next time. Ever notice that if you ate something that made you very sick (like peanuts) or something you can't bring yourself to eat it for a very long time. Same principle here. To reverse it takes time. Drink sweeter drinks or don't mix them so strong, it will pass, but it will take some time......the body has a good memory.

you are just worried that it will happenm again, may i suggest low alcohol drinks, beer or if you want whisky or vodka use it with coke

It's pretty normal, and it will go away by itself...
