As a 'giver' you are entitled to give whatever present you see fit. As a 'reciever' your mother-in-law is entitled to decline whatever gift she recieves!! Unless of course she likes Baghdad or you feel it would better her further education, then in that case you are a very thoughtful and considerate son-in-law. All the best for the new year!!

trouble is george bush has all the security in the world protecting him but your mother in law doesn't. she would be vunerable to car bombings and other attacks. This is not a good place to go to.

No, you could be commiting an offence by suppling weapons. Try and get round this by not referring to her as "that old battleaxe" when seeing her off at customs.
