She can't stop you from telling her parents.
Telling her parents might save her life, not telling them won't.
If she were your child, wouldn't you want someone to tell you???

You can speak with your school counselor or perhaps call a suicide hotline.......they'll be able to give you the number of someone who can help.
Remember...you cannot cure that person. Whatever they're dealing with is beyond what you can fix. Do what is best for yourself ...and for that person (if they hint at suicide...TELL someone!)

okay well first you need to tell someone that can help this situation. it won't be easy and your friend won't like it at first but you have to in order to help your friend. second, just make sure you're always there for her. let her talk to you about this all. stick by her side

Unless you're tied to a chair and she has a gun to your head, you have the ability to tell. You just don't want to because you don't want to "ruin your great friendship", I'm sure. And then you're really no better than her stupidity.

Okay, I use to cut myself and nobody knew about it because I didn't tell people. If she's told you and anybody else, then that is her desperate cry for help. She may say she doesn't want you to tell her parents, but deep down inside, she wants help. Tell them, she'll thank you for it later. Please, please, please save her! Were it not for the God's love I would have died because of this form of self-hate.

either she's emo or attention craving. even though she doesnt want people to know, you should tell an adult. cutters can be suicidal.
