My lower bodyweight is considered heavy due to the muscles. I need to reduce them.

not significantly, a treadmill is a cardio machine. it is used to help get rid of fat. if you want your muscle mass to increase you will need to weight train. i assume you think treadmills will increase your leg muscles. this might be true (i doubt it) but, if you really want to develop those legs, squats, lunges, and power cleans are your best friends. cleans are an advanced excercise so you might not want to start with those. make sure you consult your doctor or a trainer before you start (if you get hurt dont come looking for me ;). )

I didn't understand if you want to reduce them or make them more muscular... in other words, why do you want to reduce your *muscle* for health purposes??? You should reduce the fat instead.

Btw the treadmill makes you lose fat, what increases the muscle is weight training and proteins.

My sis works at a hospital and we had a huge debate about this because I love my treadmill. I don't think it builds muscle, but the docs there said it is a sure way to bulk up your lower body.
