This was the worst year of my life (2006, not 2007 :) ). Everything really seemed to fall apart and I had to work very very hard just to make it to the end of the year. The grand finale of the holidays was not time with my partner but instead was time with myself as I got dumped out of a 5 year relationship for literally no reason, and all signs point to cheating. I really loved this girl at one point and would have sacrificed anything to be with her, but apparently that wasn't good enough. Why bother with someone else who's just going to lie to me, use me to boost their own low self esteem, and then leave when you really need them the most?

It's really weird but most everyone I know has had a really sucky 2006-
SO GLAD IT'S OVER!
Let's just be thankful for a new start...if you really think about it, though, every second can be a new one, but this marks a chance for everyone to have a clean slate. Good luck!
P.S. Forget about this girl. You seem like a really nice guy and I'm sure you'll find someone who's worthy of that.

Nothing in life is ever secure and that's the beauty of it. Every relationship you step into is a chance you take. Like you, some will have their hearts broken as others will be breaking hearts. That's just the way it goes. The important thing to do is reflect on your failed relationships to learn from them.I feel that if I didn't not end up with the thugs of my past or face my own actions, I could not appreciate the person I am with now. Hang in there and be patient.

Dude,
You are not the only one that has had a sucky year, 2006 was horrible for me and I am just so glad it's over because it is a fresh start on life again, all of our shi* and grime that we went through in '06 is over with and hopefully '07 will bring us more gratitude. All we can do is pray to God and hope that this year will be better, but i feel it will be because i just have this feeling. So think positive, and take advantage of this fresh new start in the new year. hope this helps brutha!

Feels like the same old to me, but then again when something exciting or unexpected happens, then I'll feel like it's 2007 and I must be in heaven-lol! Sorry it wasn't meant to be and the biitch broke your heart. You'll find your true love pretty soon, I promise-cuz you never know what life has in store and why, but it will just happen, when you least expect it-trust me! Happy New Year-best wishes and God bless!

Well it sucks but everything happens for a reason...trust me I know! (Ending a 10 yr Marriage) but I can tell you one thing... the people here on yahoo are honest and it hurts sometimes. Change is good and people do not succeed with out taking risks. Live, love and relationships are ALL risks that can make us stronger. I have bad days too, but you also need to surround yourself with friends/family that love you and do not bash your ex... it is now YOU time! I am looking for me time too and I am looking forward to it. Say a prayer, ask for guidance and seize the day & the next day & the next day.... God Bless

If your ex really was cheating on you, you should be glad that she's out of your life and you can start the new year free to look for someone better.
