My bf was very busy for few days and I was okay with that. I understand he can be busy at times. But yesterday I called him 4 times and he didnt return my calls. He sent me a text message to wish me New year. Then I called him today and I just lashed out a bit telling him that he shud have returned my calls or called me to wish me new year instead of simply sending a text. He was upset really upset abt my complaining.. said he thought i was cool and understanding and wasnt typical. But I feel I had a right to complaint. Was I wrong or was he wrong? Kindly help me put things in perspective.

well yeah you have a right to feel that one.
he act like he cares for you more.

and yet he should put things in perspective himself.
cause instead of lashing out, talking it about it would be better. like a normal conversation.

so like don't yell at him talk it out.
and figure it out together like a real couple should.

don't worry about it.
just talk to him again apologize for "lashing out" and explain it to him slowly
he should understand.

You know that you were justified in feeling the way that you felt and that is why you said something to him in the first place.
It seems as if everyone on here is just confirming what you already know.
WHat you need to do is plan a course of action.
are you going to sit by and be is doormat or are you going to find out what is going on.
Ask him what he has planned for the next few days and FIND OUT>
can you drive by his house
(to see if he actually came home)
Can you send him some flowers
(dont sign the card) put I love your kisses on the card
leave instructions with the florist NOT to release any information then see if he calls you.
This helps two fold because if he is seeing someone else, when he calls her to ask her about it, then she wil know about YOU or at least that there is someone else.
YOU Have the right to be alarmed
good luck!

It depends on how serious your relationship is, but it seems like you might be smothering him.
He was cold by texting you a Happy new Year. Maybe you should read between the lines and realize he's just not that into you.

Try playing the same game. Stop calling him for a few days. Don't email him or anything. Make HIM want to call YOU. Make HIM chase you a little.

He sounds like he is up to no good!!! If he can't call you but only text messages you...usually means that he really does not want to talk to you!!! You had the right to complain but he is does not care!!! I think you need to move on...he is no good!!!

Sounds like you are about 12 yrs old, so you can't really expect your boyfriend to be serious or mature can you?

Get real.

I do not think that you were over reacting at all; I would have been mad too. Did he tell you why he did not return your calls, I would be suspicious.
