I swear I just dont get it!!!
My boyfriend lies about really petty little things when he knows I am cool about stuff but he still slightly changes his story all the time. Its driving me mad!
Sometimes he makes the most dumbest excuses (but eventually does the thing in the end, whatever that may be). I find this is a general pattern in most males so why do u all do this???????

Lara, as a bloke, I have lied to my girl for even a little thing, because I am afraid of what she will do to me. I do not intentionally do it, but as for example, a female workmate rings me on my moble, I will instinctively lie that I was called. The reason for this I would say is I would not want to explain, and a wrong impression is caused, and that I am left in a position that is vulnerable.
However in hindsight. I would now tell my partner everything, just to keep calm and collected, as I cannot afford to loose her.
We are scared. Honestly of loosing you.......

Are you really "cool" about things?
Do you ask your bf a lot of questions about the things he do?
I think It's a defense mechanism. Your bf doesn't want to get nagged, lectured or asked questions about something simple. In reality, on anything at all.
I say less mothering and just enjoy the moments you two are together.

To make themselves look better. Maybe he doesn't quite realize how irritating it is to you, maybe he got in the habit of white lies long ago. It's not a good thing obviously. If you've been dating for a while try talking to him about it... let him know he has nothing to hide from you and he doesn't have to pretend, you like him the way he is.

Probably because women make things more complicated, no seriously but sometimes rarley its the other way around. see he might also be embarsed or feel bad about the way he's doing things. or you get on to him a lot for stupid stuff you shouldnt'

It's fear based.. he's afraid that if he's honest that then he'll be in trouble.. not all men do this. If he keeps this up much longer and you keep letting it go then eventually he's gonna start to lie about even bigger things :) :) :)

i dont know why they do that but it really pisses me off . cuz if they are gonna lie about little stuff than you know they are gonna lie about alot bigger stuff so i really dont understand why they do that.
