Well, my so called "best friend" and I just spradically ended our friendship-I tired to make it work, but when I saw she wasn't putting effort-I too stopped trying-I wasn't going to haul as s for nothing. So, I truly belive there is no such thing as "best friends"-since in a min. they can become your worst enemies-these are people you never ; ever thought could betray you. Any who, so I only belive in true friends-and yes, they are hard to find, and so far I am very lucky to have some who I feel are in the same page as I, and our friendship will only keep growing, and I hope to God, these are my long life friends-they are why I wake up and smile to God. So, what is your opinion on labeling friendship; BFF or just keeping it friends*?

I have had my best friend since 1st grade (about 17 years now). She is more of a sister to me. Her son called me Aunt and my kids will do the same. We have been through some tough times, and even didn't talk for a few years. True/Best friends (whatever) you want to call them are few and far in between. But if they are really they will always be there for you in the end. I have lots of best friend though, but she is by far my closest and bestest.

I say closest. My "best friends" are not always the best but we are extremely close and they are there for me when I "need" them. Example: mother dying, life sucks etc. But there are many other people that could be considered "best" in terms of being positive on a daily basis and helping me stay centered, focused, loving, etc. I've known my closest friends for more than 15 years now (life flies by) and we have outgrown each other in may ways but we still care about each other. I just can't spend to much time with them. LOL
PS The label isn't very important.

Because ur relationship did not last does not mean there is no such thing as a bestfriend. I have many bestfriends, none of them have betrayed me or they have and admitted it and apoligized. The fight u had with ur "best friend" showed that this person was not ur bestfriend at heart but only mentally. This means u should pick your friends closely and your bestfriends even closer. Your "bestfriend" did value the relationship and this is somethin you should watch out for. Peace and Love...jkl

I don't believe in best friends because I have heard enough stories of ppl being betrayed by best friends. Even friends are just fair weather friends because unless tested, they are yet to show their true colors. Treat friends as you would treat a spouse, if they betray you, dump them.

This person was NOT your bestfriend. You do have a bestfriend but you have to realise it within time. My bestfriend and I live I different hemispheres but we are truelly kindred spirits and nothing can keep that from us. I would not give up hope in finding your kindred spirited friend that person is out there somewhere :)

BEST FRIEND i have got one... i have been with my friend since i was 12... i am now 44 she is my best friend .. she will always be my best friend till the day i die.. i have also got many true friends and many friends and then their are mates... 1 best friend forever.
