It was totally her fault. I am really afraid the insurance will not pay for the new car and funeral costs. How do I find out?

Check to see if you have collision coverage that would cover the car. Sometimes the dealer will give you coverage for 30 days. Some companies will give you automatic coverage for a certain amount of days when you buy a new car. State Farm does in California. Make sure you put the claim in. Check with the claims rep to see what is covered and not the insurance agent.
Also, check to see if you have medical payment coverage. That would help pay for medical bills and the funeral. It's a good thing to have but most people do not have it or even know about it. People without medical insurance should have it. Make sure you put in the claim. Only speak to the claims dept. They are the experts. I have my insurance license but I still have claims give those answers because their the experts in that area. I am only speaking for myself and not on behalf of any company. I am sorry for your loss. Only time can heal whats happened. Hang in there and consult your religious organization for some support. People really do care.

Wow, how tragic.

Did you have full coverage insurance? Did you have life insurance? It is terrible that you have to deal with all of that at this terrible time, but it is a fact of life.

You need to get a hold of your insurance companies --they will start the process for you.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about your wife. If you had full coverage insurance you then the bills should be covered. Call your auto insurance company and ask them about it. Check with your health insurance and see about any life insurance coverage.

First of all I am sorry for your loss. You need to contact your insurance companies and possibly a lawyer. I would not discuss any the legal matters with anyone but your lawyer and insurance companies.

I am very sorry your wife died. You always need to contact your insurance agent when there is an accident. If you haven't done that then get right on it.

It depends on what kind of insurance you have.
You find out by calling the insurance company.
Then you call a lawyer and ask for his opinion.
I can see you are broken up.
