Sometimes, if they're pushy about it.

I am probably one of the ones who make others feel uncomfortable, lol. I am an evangelical [what some term right-wing, whatever, I don't have much use for labels] but honestly, people with different beliefs do not threaten me. It doesn't mean I think they are correct but why waste time on nit-picking, name-calling or analyzing how I think they are wrong? If I am living according to my beliefs, I should be occupied with making certain my life is setting a good example and being true to that which I hold sacred. To paraphrase, you point out your brother has a speck in his eye, what about the log in your own?

No, actually, I can't get enough of finding out about them. It's why I travel abroad, and ask others about their religious beliefs. Mormons come by, I invite them in, give them some water, ask them if they want a snack, and ask them some kind questions. Nothing argumentative. Just to clear the air, because I had heard some untrue statements about them, and I wanted to get from a Mormon, what a Mormon actually beleived.
I wasn't interested in becoming a Mormon, nor will I ever become one. But it doesn't mean that I couldn't learn more about them as a people.
Lord knows this world could use a lot more tolerance of others beliefs.
Edit: Heheh, I like the poster above me's answer. Gave me a smile. True enough. 8^)

I'm sure the only reason you felt "threatened" was because you didn't understand what they believed. I haven't had that experience. I am a muslim woman, and go according to Islam when I say that the same thing can not be the best thing for everyone. You can't force somebody to believe or not to believe. Sure, you can "force" them to do the motions and whatnot, but if their heart is not in it, it's pointless. And God doesn't like it either.

In the UK disbelief is predominant so religion is an issue of limited relevance. I've never felt threatened by anyone's beliefs.

Typically, the threatened people are the ones with the die-hard belief structure.

Yes. Until I get to know them and all of a sudden, that person over there is such and such
a good person...hey I can't believe I was scared of them before!
While I am eclectic and have been with many different cultures, there always are times when my confidence/self-esteem/other are low and I feel overly cautious.
We humans feel more comfortable identifying with those more like us than not.

Nope. That's my family. One grandmother is a Lutheran, the other is an atheist, my mother is an agnostic, my late aunt was a convert to Seventh Day Adventist, I'm a convert to Catholicism, etc.

Not really, honestly. But, but I get frustrated when people don't understand what i'm saying. But that's not feeling threatened.. I can see how that situation could happen in my life though. (I mean I don't feel above it)
