I'm 13 years old, with dark brown hair up to my thighs, I have green eyes and pale skin. I'm described as shy, quiet, dark (as in, I like to wear neutural clothes, and I like scary things), and most of all, I'm scared to stand up for myself. It starts of with my crush, Micheal, who I'm good friends with. About 3 weeks ago, this group of jocks (in my German class) said something that was really mean. They called me an 'ugly, dark, ghost' that should just disappear. And being myself, I just slightly nodded, and waited for them to leave. But the thing is, my crush heard about what had happened, and got furious with the them. While they where teasing me again that day, he saw them and said, "Get away from her, you jerks." Of course, they didn't listen, but then he told them "She does Martial Arts, so you better not call her ugly again 'cause she's not, and she can kick your asses". Then they all just got freaked out, and walked away. He really helped me out, but... does he like me?

I did thank him after he stood up for me, and he said "Anytime". Then he gave me my manga book that I had lost in school (I was looking for it earlier with him and another friend of mine). I have no clue where he found it though. Of course, I thanked him for finding it as well. (That's probably how he found me when the jocks where making fun of me.)

You sound very intelligent but like you have low self-esteem. Those jocks are morons and if it's at all possible, stay away from them. Don't listen to what they say! Jerks like them live to put people down but trust me: they are living the best years of their lives between 13-18. By the time they graduate high school (IF they graduate!) most of them will be washed up. You, on the other hand, will have your whole life ahead of you. You're too smart to worry about people like them. Don't waste your time.
It sounds to me as if your crush likes you. It is also possible that he is just a really good guy who doesn't like to see people get hurt, so he protected you. Either way he seems like a sweetheart. :)

I think he likes you but he may not like you the way you like him (at leat not yet). 13 year old boys are still somewhat asexual. He may not have noticed girls in a romantic way yet. He may feel that he was just sticking up for a friend rather than defending a woman's honor. Hang in there. Keep the friendship and it could very well happen for you when you are both in the same state of mind.

"Go Micheal"...sounds like a sweetheart to me! i am sure he likes you but in what way I am not sure? Talk to him and thank him or even write hime a short note if you dont feel comfortable saying it face to face. Become friends with him and then see if it moves on from there =)
Remember to always be yourself and never pretend to be something that you are not. Its normally the shy quiet ones that grow up to be movie stars and supermodels that everyone wants to know ;)

awwwww that is so sweet! im not sure so im not gonna lie to u but he might be interested if he stood up for u but he might not be b/c i've had a guy stand up for me that i liked but he didnt like me,he was just being nice but it could be different in ur situation,just see how things go....in the future u should try to gain more confidence in standing up for yourself b/c u wont always have someone there but at least u didnt run away and cry b/c that shows them ur weak and afraid,i hope things turn out good,happy new year : )

no that doesnt necesserally mean he likes you dont listen to these other ppl on here that r telling you that he does. first of all if i heard boys say something like that to a girl whether the girl was as ugly as hell or she was really hot, i'd still stand up for the girl because girls shouldn't be treated like that especially by boys. im 13 also and id love to be in front of these jerkoff jock fags right now. anyway, about sticking up for yourself if i was in your situation i would've told them to go **** themselves. stand up for what you belive and for what you think is right...it will get you very far in life. trust me on that 1...happy new years

Well he could like and he couldnt. But just because he stood up for you doesnt mean he likes you. He probably just stood up for you because you two are really good friends.

He's an amazing dude. Real Sweet. It's hard to tell if he likes you. He either does, or he is just real nice. Wait a while and see if he talks to you/ flirts with you or just continues defending you.

That's something radical and unheard of among 13 year old boys. He could be really, really nice or he likes you. The latter is more likely, IMO.
