They don't have some things like قند . They use "Cube Sugar" as a compact and portable sugar (In restaurants, Air plans, for a cup of coffee, etc.). As you know here we use "Cube Sugars" and we using them like قند .

this is not a valid word in Arabic .... if u mean " قــد " it means " May " .....if u need to translate whole passage,then its better .
