First of all reason of hair falling are - no time table of eating foods, and drinking water. Late night working or roaming, eating spicy food, unnecessarily thinking, shortages of early sunlight for body. These are the reason why hair normally falls. To avoid this Eat green vegetables, milk, egg on time. And drink sufficient water on time at least 2.5 liter water per day. Take early mornings sunlight and do yoga everyday like prayanam.

my suggestion is vitamins. go to your local pharmacy and ask them what type of vitamins you need to help stop hair fall. hair sometimes fall out more often in winter months. and it is normal for hair to fall as new ones come out in its place. you normally lose 100 strands of hair per day so unless it is a great deal of hair and you notice empty spots, don't worry about it as it is a natural thing. but if you are worried about it, then it may be that you are not eating right or are losing weight too fast and not getting enough nutrients in your system. vitamins are always a good thing to take in most cases and may be just what you need.
as for your end, try to use a brush that does not tear your hair when you brush your hair. if your hair tangles a lot, there are non-tangling sprays you can use to ease the tangles. when i wash my hair, i normally have a large tooth comb in the shower. after i shampoo, i leave the conditioner about three minutes and then start combing out the tangles while still having conditioner on my hair. my hair is half way down my back and this way when i start drying my hair, it is partly smoothen out and not tangled as much. i am not young and a grandma so having long hair is something i take care of.
