After everything that I've tried, I swear by two ingredients, apple cider vinegar & tea tree oil...
Not only does apple cider vinegar helps with acnes, they'll help reduce acne scars also. However, it smells... This is how I use it. In the evening, I washed my face real good with one of those cleansing towlette, I use Oil of Olay but that doesn't make any difference. I premix in a bottle one part vinegar to two part water (I have sensitive skin so I can't use full strength, which I don't recommend using anyway unless you're sure your skin can take it). Then while watching tv or whatever, I wet a cotton ball with the mixture and apply it all over my face, let dry, repeat, let dry, then go to sleep. It smells so I don't recommend using it in the day time.
Benzoid peroxide works in curing acne because it kills bacteria, but it slow your skin's ability to recover itself. Tea tree oil serve the same purpose in killing bacteria but it has no restriction on your skin. This is how I use it. In the morning, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, I use the positively radiant line by Aveeno, then I wet a cotton pad (I use those round cotton pad) with water then drop 3 drops of tea tree oils directly on the pad (it's rather drying at first so I would start with one then increase as your skin adjust) then I wipe the pad all over my face, let dry while I change my clothes, etc... After 5 to 10 minutes, apply light moisturizer with spf of at least 15 and head out, once again I use the positively radiant line by Aveeno but any brands will be fine, just be sure it's gentle cleanser, & light moisturizer
Try not to wear makeup if at all possible.
Once a week, steam your face for 5 minutes to make your pore sweat out anything that's not suppose to be there.
Once a week, wear a mud mask to soak up excess sebum, oil, & dirt. I love love the rare earth masque by Kieh's, but any other brand will be just fine
Drink plenty of water throughout the day
Get 8 hrs of sleep
Be sure you go regularly

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer ten times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.
Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

One way to prevent acne naturally is lower your sugar intake and drink a gallon of water a day. Drinking lots of water does wonders for the skin. Also proactive is a really great product for acne.

Been to the dermatologist. Recommendation was for a product called "Purpose" and it can be purchased in your local Walmart. I prefer the liquid over the bar soap though. Personal preference! I have never been able to use soap or any type of lotion on my face. Guess what! I use both now made by the same company.
Also, a dermatologist can give you a prescription for Retina A......kinda like a peel. Helps remove dead and generate new skin cells.

If you do not want to spend a lot of money on products... buy you a brand name antibacterial bar of soap. You should not use it for anything else but your face. What you do is creat suds with hands and use sudds as a face mask every night, do not rinse off until the morn. It will feel as if your face is being pulled back tight but you'll get used to it. This has worked for everyone that I know have tried this, including myslef

Wash your face morning and night with a MILD face soap. Use the correct moisturizer...they have it for oily skin, too. If you don't moisturize, your skin will create more oil to try to moisturize your skin. Don't pick your face or squeeze pimples, that will just make them worse. If you have a whitehead, use a hot washcloth to get it to open and then wash the infected area with mild soap. DO NOT scrub!! As far as the scarring, you can use vitamin E cream to lessen the scars. Be patient...it takes a few weeks. Good luck!
