Yeah, a bunch of dwarves intercept our typed-in messages, handwrite them onto paper and fire them down pneumatic tubes that encircle the Earth. At the other end, another dwarf opens the case and types in my words and forwards the post onto you and into your computer.

I've seen the clip. He was obviously trying to describe the concept of bandwidth to people who had little or no understanding of the Internet.
