Having watched some of History Channel's doomsday Marathon this past week I do seem to recall talk of the Anti Christ being a attractive, dynamic, charming, charismatic, and appearing to be good. Most versions of Lex since 1990 have fit those 3 points, with Clark being one of the few who have seen his true nature. so One could easily infer that the Superman Universe of the past 20 or so years has borrowed from Revelation in that respect.

Even before that, I found a book called "the Gospel According to Superman" in the local Library which points out other parallels between Jesus and Kal-El. "They can be a good people my son, they only lack the light to show them the way." is a line from the Superman films, but could just as easily be credited to the bible.

You have a very perceptive child on your hands, teach him well.

Acts 1:9-11 Now when He (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly towards heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up to heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.
Jesus will come back the same way but as the Lord of Glory.

No, you see, Jesus will be more like the little-known super hero Dog Welder, a member of section 8. The antichrist, well, I'd suppose he'd most likely be a religious fundimentalist for irony's sake.

Close... any atheists would be Lex Luthor because they are megalomaniacs who are jealous of Jesus's powers.
