Yes, I found mine in 1957. I will share a poem that I have framed and hung on the wall along with our marriage license and our picture.
Take my hand and walk with me,
across the sands of time;
Hand in hand and heart to heart.
Husband . . . friend of mine.
We will share the solitude.
And walk in quiet peace.
My heart hears what your heart says,
it listens when yours speaks.
We’ve shared hearts and souls as one,
in perfect harmony;
The laughter and the tears we’ve known,
Are the sweetest melody.
For years have brought us to this place.
Across the sands of time;
We’ll walk together, till the end.
Husband . . . friend of mine.
We still love, laugh and have fun together.

Wow, that's the best question I've ever seen asked in R&S by anyone else. (Yes, I'm arrogant enough to think my own few questions better than most others). It's a nice concept, and may feel realistic at the time, but I'd say no, they don't exist only as an illusion, or at least people possess the ability of connecting their souls with just about anyone. The logistics of there only being one out of 6 billion that one is truly compatible with simply don't work out.
If soul mates do exist, there is an extremely EXTREMELY small chance of you ever meeting yours. In fact, out of everyone alive, there is only a 35% chance that one of them is with their soul mate....

My wife is my mate. The Bible says we are one flesh in marriage. That is a beautiful thing. I could not be mean to her without feeling that same pain stabbing into my own heart. When she hurts I hurt. When I am troubled she is troubled. We rejoice together and love each other. God has someone for each person who is to be married. When you are married God makes you one, but people are stubborn and selfish and disobedient to God which is why there is divorce.
