this time last year, my husband and i were traveling all over the country checking on the kids as we all were in hurricane katrina and were all scattered all over the country. we settled in colorado but we had to check on one daughter and her family who ended up in connecticut, then drove down to memphis to check on 2 daughters who were there. from memphis we drove to houston to see one son and finally tracked our eldest son in tucson where we stayed for christmas and new years until we drove back to colorado where we made our home.
all of us are settled. of course, we are all adjusting to our new environment and aside from missing the children and grandchildren i can say we are so fortunate to be were we are. we thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given us all and only when times of trouble hit you do you realize how blessed you are.

Better, At this time last year I was getting ready for a Rotator Cuff repair Surgery on my shoulder, this year I am just getting used to not having teeth and getting over the removal of four titanium plates and twenty two screws from my cheeks, one week ago. It is partly because they need me to have healed up to a certain point before the can do some things. The teeth are the last step. Extraction and upper denture.Damn sore.(This stuff is all from an accident in may 2005. They tell me I should be back to work in a couple of months at the moist now, just not the same type of work)

Well, I think I was much better last year...but I can't say that I'm exactly worse this year. I'm just not as good as last year!

Better in some, worse in others.
2006 I spent a lot of time working on things I need to turn over, and turning over things I need to work on.
I'm going to try to correct that this year. Wish me luck!

Better or worse in what sense?... Most things, especially complex matters like the nature of people can't be summarized in black and white "good" and "bad" or even gradients thereof.
Better morally, financially, nicer, stronger, smarter, healthier?...
