well, I think God is "natural" in the sense that nature is His, and He pervades it. But He is also above nature (supernatural) in that, if all of nature came to an end, God would still exist as pure consciousness.

Congratulations. You seem to have hooked onto another aspect of "god" that humans have a hard time answering.
If God is natural, then it would make sense that God is bound by the laws of nature, as are the rest of us.
If God is supernatural, then God could break these laws, making all of scientific experimentation moot, because each study would have to include the disclaimer, "There is the possibility that these findings are actually an act of God rather than a description of natural processes."
But then we would not be able to develop theories and make predictions, which we ARE able to do. Therefore it seems unlikely that God intervenes in natural laws, although I suppose God, if God exists, could do so. However, since the evidence suggests that natural laws are immutable, and there are other, more naturalistic explanations for things like miracles and other mythological tales in the various scriptures, it seem doubtful that any existing God ever intervened by breaking natural laws.
Therefore, it seems that at least God is irrelevant (because he cannot or will not break natural laws) , and in all likelihood, doesn't exist.

Dear Jarash, God is in existance when this world was not created. The power which created this world is God, He so ever may be a gas, light, or fire or water . The supreme power which creted this wor ld is God. There is no doubt about it If you consider that weather there is God or not , you apply "Cause and effect Formulta". There is cause of the cration of this world (this universe) which are several glaxies. Had there be no God, or Power, there would have been no world. As you may know I am muslim by faith as well as by birth. I believe in th existance of God. It is a very unshatterable belief installed in me that God exists and it is natural and no body can owerpower Him. We have to believe in Him though we cannot see Him by our eyes. But it is our belief that God is there and we must accept by reasoning that God is natur al and no body do harm to Him.

the nature and its laws that govern the working of this universe are called god.......we know that their is a force that is moving the universe.......we have discovered laws to define it but we still do not understand it.....each day a new discovery is made which threatens the previous ideas........this force is called god........so therefore god is natural as he is the force of nature........but he is also supernatural.......as the nature cannot be fully understood......we do not know how it was created how many forms of life are their......how life was created........how everything came into existence from a source of energy......therefore god is both natural and supernatural

I would ask him when you are in heaven. I wouldn't say he is unnatural. He could be described as Supernatural and Natural I guess.

Whether he is natural or not, I think that whether he is a good thing or a bad thing depends on how you use your belief in him. I also believe this is the better question. If something is natural or not is not so important as how it helps to better the world and those who live in it.
