What if Adam and Eve had never sinned??

Gen. 1:27, 28: “God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. Further, God blessed them and God said to them: ‘Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.’”

Isa. 45:18: “This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: ‘I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.’”

Has God’s original purpose for the earth changed?

If Adam and Eve had never sinned I think this world would be a beautiful place of peace and love. There would be no illness, hate, evil, and we would all be getting along with every nation.

Josie B said there wouldn't have been any reason for us to be born if that was the case but I disagree. God said woman's punishment for the sin would be enduring pain in childbirth; in the verses quoted above..."God blessed them and God said to them; 'Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth..'" So God's plan was for us to be born; it just would have been a lot more joyful place if the original sin had not ocurred. I think we have a bone to pick with Eve, don't you?

No, his original purpose has never changed.....

God created mankind for one distinct purpose. To have a relationship with Himself. and that in His Holiness and Love.

The whole purpose of sending Jesus Christ into the world was to redeem mankind and bring us back to where God wants us to be. In a holy relationship with Himself. But, our sins stand in the way and created a wall between us and God. Jesus can forgive us for our sins and break down the wall that seperates us and God.

The book of Revelation refers to the day when the Lord will make "a new Heaven and a new Earth..." essentially cleansing the sin problem forever and restoring things to way they were when He first created everything.

Not a simple thing for our frail human minds to wrap itself around. But, God will do what He said He will do.

In the beginning it was meant to be a Paradise.
But when the serpent(devil)deceived Eve and when Adam and Eve took the fruit, sin entered and so the whole concept of Paradise changed. With sin came death, with death comes everlasting life in Heaven(if God deems this so He is the judge)
so in a way I think yes His original purpose had to change to give man a chance when he sinned

For God to exist, the concept of sin must scare people into believing in Him.

Sin is a marketing exercise to motivate people to behave in the same way parents tell their children they must be 'good' or else Santa won't give them a present for Christmas.

God is imaginary and sin is propaganda..

Its not a question of wether adam and eve sinned. They did. Its a question of what if satan did not become proud and corrupt eve into taking the forbidden fruit.

Adam "atoned" for his sin by saying "My Lord I have sinned and if you do not forgive me and have mercy upon me then I shall indeed have lost." So God forgave him. Similarly, all human beings have the door to forgiveness left open to them by God

See, I don't ever feel like they sinned - I think they made a choice (and I think more likely their parent was very proud that they wanted to better themselves rather than just idle around). I think the original plan was for this existence to be a learning place for our souls and I think that is exactly what we have.
