That is, individuals who are not sexually attracted to either gender.

I know a lot of them don't like homosexuals, but surely people are not sinning by not being attracted to anyone.

(And no, this isn't a joke, so I'd appreciate it if you kept your sarcastic, "LOL CHRISTIANS R BIG DUMB STUPIDHEADS" or "LOL ASEXUALS REPRODUCE WITH THEMSELFS" answers to yourselves.)

If you hadn't told them all what it meant they would have all been against it.

There are no taboos against asexuality. It was spoken about in Holy Scripture. Here is the quotes below:

Matthew 19:11-13 (New International Version)

11Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage[a]because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

Eunuchs born that way are asexual by nature.

I hopes this helps. God Bless You and Have a Blessed New Year!!!!

A sexuality is really not spoken of. If a person feels no affinity to either sex, they can very easily live a chaste life. asexuality can be mean no sex, or masturbation..

However, any use of our sexual drive, is intended within the bounds of marriage, which God created. We do not have rights over our sexuality, as it was given as a gift and for pro-creation and to increase the bonds between husband and wife (and also to enjoy with eachother).

People mis-use it abuse it and throw it around like confetti. That is their choice, but for me as a believer, there will be a consequence to all of this.

Also, be aware that Christians/Catholics/ etc, do not dislike homosexuals and this is an unfair judgement. It's the homosexuality that is the issue, the sin itself, as with any other sin, like adultery etc.

The word "asexuals" wasn't known back in Biblical times, but eunuchs were well known. Jesus mentioned that some people were born eunuchs--and that may equate to non-sexuals.

You're right, there is no condemnation against non-sexuals in Scripture. There may be a little envy among the believers, though! How nice it would be sometimes, to not be tempted in any way by sex!

Peace.

I'm sorry your questions have been abused in the past. Sadly, rational dialogue is not always possible.
The Bible speaks about asexuality in several ways. In the terms of eunochs - it mentions those born that way as well as made that way. The eunoch who rescued Jeremiah is granted a beautiful promise of hope. There is a strong opinion that Nehemiah was asexual, offering up his numerous statements of good works as a substitute for the lack of sexuality. It is a stark and helpful reminder about the place of good works for any of us.
Asexuality - no problem.

NO, I don't think there is any harm at all in being ASexual.

In Fact the translation and correlation i make to bible times would be to that of the "eunichs".

Old Testament and New Testament readings refer to ones who for reasons of purity and devotion to God would seperate themselves and never marry. In some drastic cases Eunichs (men) would even have there private parts removed so as to never even be tempted to walk in an impure direction. (I AM IN NO WAY ENCOURAGING THIS!)

When the Apostle Philip is leaving Jerusalem and going forth to preach the Gospel as recorded in the Book of Acts Chapter 8, he comes upon a "eunich" who is reading the book of Isaiah and needs help understanding what Isaiah has written.

Hope that helps some

The Christian view is: God says in the N.T. that those who can do without marriage are to be proud and stay that way. It is only those who "need marriage for emotional or sexual reasons" to enter into it and then to keep from sinning.

Scripture tells many are called in this way and helps them in that they are not tied to the world.

I honestly don't think there is a view from the bible on this. If they choose to have sex with another then there is some kind of view on it.

Good question...

I don't think Christianity has a problem with it.
