That would depend on the amount of interaction the bird has with its human "teacher" (time spent) and the quality of that interaction (how good the teacher is at teaching). The tapes don't work. It's about INTERACTION. As well, bear in mind that each individual bird is an INDIVIDUAL and the disposition, genetic endowment for intelligence, and characteristics of the bird will come into play AS WELL AS general species traits and characteristics. African greys are the "best" speakers in that are able to speak in context. When compared with other "gifted" species, though, they tend NOT to learn to speak at a very young age (which is what you asked about in the first place).

The African Grey talk the most But you have to spend time with them. They tend to have the biggest vocabulary.
One thing we learn from experience is to get just one. We had a male African Grey and once we got the female he would not talk any more.

African Greys and they are also the smartest. This will depend on the amount of time you spend training them of course, but generally they are the best talkers. They have tapes you can buy to play for them when you are gone. Also be sure and teach them one word over and over until they master it.

Although the African Grey parrot has been known for it's astonishing intelligence, there is no actual parrot that will pick up faster.

Any parrot really. It all depends on how much you work with them on it. I personally love Macaws. They are beautiful and can learn to talk very well.

i imagine he ability english budgie... i have talked about male english budgies study a thanks to talk so a lot more desirable than male american parakeets. Male english budgies are frequently handfed and artwork mutually more desirable heavily with people therefore are more desirable in all probability to imitate the language of their human "flock associates".
