well if he doesn't try to get in your pants after he says it and hears it back....and he looks you deeply in the eyes when he says it....he probably means it...and he can't say it casually like aww i love u that's cute!(well not the first few times at least)......if he says it very seriously....he'll mean it....

If he takes the time to say that he loves you with all his heart, and he tells you that he loves you a lot, I would say that he means it. This is one of the more reliable signs he is really into you.
Even if you can't feel sure, I would do your best to believe that he does love you. Don't let yourself be too reserved. Let yourself fall in love and act out all your feelings. It'll be much more enjoyable that way.
Love is too important to be delayed or ruined by uncertainty or suspicion.

If he wants to spend every minuet with u and says "i love you" in a way that u can tell is meaningful. When you kiss it seems more than just a kiss, and he stands up for you and protects you. When theres no other place he'd rather be than with you.

If he says I love you quickly its because hes had lots of practice!! Words are cheap. Pay attention to how he treats his mother and the ohter females in his life. Thats a good indicator of how hes going to treat you.

ask him why he likes to do that. he may be an inspiring doctor, or nurse or aerobic instructor therefore a keeper or a serial killer, dump him -quickly, very quickly. look at the other signs of weirdness, does he dig around in your trash can, do you find your undies in his sock drawer, if you answered yes to any of these change the locks on your door, ASAP!

There is no way of really telling. You mainly have to take his word for it. But you can see signs of things that he says or does to tell you how he really feels.
