HIGHLIGHTS!!! How long would it take? Are there any good at home kits or would a salon be better?

I agree that if your skin is a medium brown, you probably should not go blonde. Try caramel highlights with a brown base--it will look a lot better! And definitely go to a hairdresser (preferably a black one or in a salon that especially does hair for black women)!

it takes about a hour if u go to a salon. there are good home kits but if it's ur first time go to a salon. better to be safe then sorry also u should get the ones that come out when u wash your hair just in case u don't like it then if ur sure get the permanent ones. that's what i did

Professional assistance is always best when using chemicals on your hair. Coloring hair is serious, it can dry out even the best hair. If your hair is already chemically treated then you definitely want to have it colored by a professional. Highlights done correctly look good, don't do it yourself treat yourself to the salon for the best results.

Have a pro do it in her salon. It's very damaging to your hair, especially if you have a relaxer. Go in every 6 weeks for a trim and DEEP conditioner.

Hi sweet girl! Please, please don't do it with an at home kit. It usually turns carrot ugly orange and then you will have to spend more money to fix it. Go to a good salon that works with African American hair. It's very hard to get a good blonde color on your type hair. Good luck!

No offense, but people with darker skin usually do not look good with blonde. Maybe try a light brown instead of blonde.
