One of the best ways I know of to find a restaurant that seniors like is to look for place where seniors are eating. They tend to like places that are not expensive and that serve a good value for their money. In Eugene, the first place that comes to mind is the Empire Chinese restaurant on Hwy 99. It's a buffet and there are 4 buffet tables with both Chinese and American food. A 5th line is all fresh fruit and salad and there is also a sushi table. Everything is very reasonably prices - under $10 for lunch even. Of course the senior in question needs to like Chinese for this to work. It's located across the street from the old Ford dealership west of the College - near the old Stewart Andersons (which is now another new named steakhouse).

Another good restuarant I can't recall the name of is directly to the south of the 7 Eleven - the one on the south east corner of Sacred Heart Hospital. It's Good Earth, or something like that. Their prices are fantastic, the food great, and there are a lot of seniors I've seen there. The restuarant is beautiful and the patio a nice option if the weather is good. I'm sure they could do something special to celebrate her birthday too. Don't now if they are open for dinner, but most seniors like lunch even more than dinner (smaller portions and lower prices).

Another option is to look up the senior centers in Eugene and/or Springfield and drop in when they are serving lunch. Then just ask the group where some fantastic places are - they will know!

Wish I lived in the area to help more. I live on the south coast and could tell you here where interesting places would be, but Eugene is more of a mystery. I volunteer as an EMT so get to Eugene periodically and have the most experince eating out near the hospitals.

i imagine you should act on your thoughts. perhaps not a track, yet a video with you telling thoughts you've written down. you may want to carry mutually images from the internet too and write little notes to them because the thoughts spread. Like, even as telling the fence tale perhaps caution them about electrical energy etc. besides, it truly is a darn strong idea. you may want to be able to market the format for seniors to apply. Mine might want to include, making apple cider, taking area in baseball, driving motorcycles, barefoot all summer, damning up the creek and swimming there all summer, paper dolls, evening time sled driving even as an complete moon enables, farm antics(stray vs hay). thanks for the thoughts and a powerful idea.
