When you get engaged, you are suppose to wear the ring on your left hand on the second finger from the left. During your wedding ceremony, you are suppose to wear your engagement ring on your right hand on the same finger. Your husband-to-be is suppose to place your wedding band on the same finger (on your left hand) that your engagement ring was on. After the ceremony, the engagement ring is to be moved back on top (or above) of the wedding band.

The left hand the finger at the side of your small finger. In different cultures Example Greek they place it on the same finger but later change to the right hand! Happy New Year!!
