Rav 4's look terrible.. CR-V's look better.

The RAV-4 is a little more spare on the interior. But it also can be had with a big V6 as well as a 3rd row seat.
The CR-V holds it value very well, and looks a little more upscale.
It only comes with a 4 cylinder, and may be a little on the pokey side.
Both are reliable, well crafted and somewhat better than anything "domestic". I would get the cheapest RAV-4 with the V6. If price is more of an issue, the base CR-V is a better vehicle when it comes to base models.

CR-V. The new one is way more upscale than the old model. The RAV-4 is a good small SUV but the Honda is more refined and comfortable.

CR-V. I have honda and I have the Honda Passport(its like the older verison of the pilot). I love how the new ones are shaped and never had a problem with my hondas but my parents and brother have toyatos. I would say its preference but the honda should have a better resale value.

Get the Rav4.
It has more room, an option for a V6 engine (CRV only has an inline 4 engine) option for hill start assist control and downhill assist control (CRV only has full time 4WD and doesnt have stuff like these) and a better sound system.

what are you using it for and how deep is the pocket? rav4 is lots bigger tahn they used to be. i like the crv for looks and all teh hard driving. my son bought teh rav4 and has hauled three adults and two children confortably. if it is just you, save bucks and go for the rav4. if you'r going out to havve some serious travelling, go for teh crv
