I have pimples on my back (near the shoulder blade area) ... i think it's from the bra rubbing on the skin, but i'm not sure ... what should i do to remove them? i tried the body wash that gets rid of acne from Neutrogena, but it didn't do anything!

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer six times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Don't worry, lots of people get acne on other parts of their body beside their face. It's not from your bra, its from oils in your hair (if it reaches your upper back), and it's from sweat. The best thing you can do is use a really good acne removing body wash. If the Neutrogena isn't working for you, you can try the same stuff you use on your face. Topical acne products for your face are very gentle, and wont irritate the rest of your back where you dont have acne. Just make sure what ever you use has benzoyl peroxide in it. That's what will get rid of your acne.

I've had that problem too.
the best thing is if you have proactive use that 3rd step cream stuff 1nce a day at night(only a little bit) b4 yougo to bed on the "affected area" and rub it in the whole way

otherwise neutrogena makes this spot treatment stuff in a white tube that is basically the same, but it's 5-7$ a pop, but it lasts a while

if you thinks the acne is from an irritation from the bra you should experiment with another bra and see if thats really the cause. if not, your problem is called "bacne" (acne on your back) there are a variety of different treatments and scrubs that can be used to treat this. I would recommend first trying the drugstore products offtered for this (google it) and then if those products dont work you may want to seek a dermatolgist that can give you some stronger stuff to make the bacne disappear

good luck!

whatever you do, treat them CAREFULLY!!! I had the same situation a few yrs ago from running on the trail near my house & I guess the sweat & sunscreen gave me acne & I used these scrubs & picked at them & ended up w/ raised scars called keloids that cost $4000 for a cosmetic surgeon to fix the problem (I have some discoloration there until this day) The best thing you can do is go to the dermatologist & let the experts take care of you.

Clinique sells a product under their Acne Solutions line that is targeted at body acne. It is in a spray bottle for easy application. It's called Acne Solutions Body Treatment Spray. Check it out!

Hey I have the same problem hon, it's okay! Either go to the doctor and get a prescription to something like BenzaClin, or just don't pick them and let them go away on their own, though that might take up to a year. Usually OTC (over the counter) drugs don't do much when it comes to acne. Good luck!
